In this class, technical skill is exalted through the resounding joy of being in the body's expressive and artistic state. With release technique as it's springboard, this class will include dancing off center, moving in and out of the floor, and investigating power, articulation and momentum. Improvisation and choreography is accessed and expanded while queries of identity and purpose set us in frame. Find freedom, flight and fun while sweating and smiling to captivating music.

Sarah Keeney is an San Francisco Bay area based teacher, choreographer and performer. Her recent endeavors allowed her to perform on stilts, on the ground and flying from pirate ships in Colombia, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Africa, Finland, Denmark, and around the US.  Sarah has taught at universities, orphanages, studios, schools, and in the street. Locally, she has taught at San Francisco's ODC, Lines Dance Center, Shawl Anderson Dance Center and for Bandaloop.  A great joy for Sarah is to create a space where fierce articulation and somatic awareness intertwine for a fun and empowering class.
