This unprecedented gathering is the last of six regional town halls, which have continued the conversation from AXIS' three day National Convening on the Future of Physically Integrated Dance in the US, held in May at Gibney Dance Center in NYC. Information on the National Convening can be found at www.axisdance.org/advocacy. This activity is supported in part by the California Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Arts and Disability Center at the University of California Los Angeles.
The agenda for the day is informed by AXIS' 29 years in the field, research, results from a national survey, and findings of the previous regionals. It is my sincere hope that you will be able to participate in this event and help create an alliance with strongholds to move our amazing field forward. Many details will follow in coming weeks.
We look forward to seeing you on December 10th.
