Dance Access Day
AXIS Dance Company’s FREE unique event for schools and children of all ages! In-theater performances in downtown Oakland provide youth with the experience of seeing innovative choreography that demonstrates how people with and without disabilities work together. The show includes active participation and a Q&A.

In-theater performances that showcase artistic repertory, provide educational information on disability, personal dance history and include the audience in a physically integrated dance experience.
Residencies are a series of classes over several weeks in which students learn creative dance - exploring their own dance vocabulary, building confidence, and practicing cooperation and appreciation for each other’s creative expression.
AXIS Dance Company presents over 20 in-school assemblies throughout the Bay Area each year. These assemblies include interactive participation by students, plus candid discussion and Q&A with AXIS dancers.

This June, AXIS launched its pilot Choreo-Lab to support mentorship and advancement of disabled choreographers
AXIS' intensive is an unparalleled dance experience for dancers with and without disabilities to develop their technique while collaborating with dancers from throughout the world.
Teachers are given the tools to create an inclusive creative environment in their classroom. Includes video-presentation and participating movement exercises.
