Fundamentals of Physically Integrated Dance

The strength of AXIS Dance Company lies in the unique and inclusive dance form called Physically Integrated Dance. Over the last twenty years, disabled and non-disabled dancers have been working together creating new ways of moving that otherwise would not exist. During this inspiring workshop the company of dancers will teach, participate, and guide the exploration of this dance form in an inclusive setting that by nature uses principles of contact improvisation. The fundamentals of this philosophy will be investigated during a four-class workshop while building trust in a self-challenging and creative environment. We invite dancers of all skill levels with or without physical disability to attend this workshop.

Creative Dance Class for Teens with and without disabilities
Do you like to move? Do you like to dance and to be creative? Do you enjoy dancing with peers? Then join our exciting creative dance class for teens with and without disabilities (age 12-21). During this 8-week session we will teach modern & creative dance techniques, giving you the opportunity to discover your own dance vocabulary. Together we will explore new and exciting ways to move, build social skills and body awareness while having fun.
