Company Improvisation Class w/ AXIS Dancers

June 28, 2022 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am PDT

Six disabled and non-disabled dancers create a tableau together in the studio. JanpiStar tilts back in their wheelchair and lifts one hand up to connect with Alaja's raised foot, who is supported by Zara while Louisa kneels beside Janpi. David forms a downward dog and Dawn leans forward on their cane to form the end of the tableau.

Come take class with our full company! This improvisation class is designed to re-awaken curiosity with a playful approach to dance, while deepening our listening skills.  This class offer a creative framework in which participants can reconnect with their bodies, explore their imaginations, increase their stamina, and experience the pleasure of movement in a welcoming, accepting environment.
